Mt Kosciuszko is Australia’s highest peak at height of 2,228m above sea level. Our first ecosystem at risk case study profiles the surrounding ‘alpine region’ with heights ranging from 1850m above sea level.

Assessment: Identify and explain the risk factors to the alpine and sub-alpine ecosystem of the Kosciuszko National Park and reasons for its protection. Evaluate contemporary management strategies and documents that aim to mitigate such risks within this ecosystem.
