Economic Activity

Global Tourism currently accounts for 10% of Global GDP and as such is of significant economic importance to not only Australia, but the world. As part of the ‘Tertiary’ sector of the economy, Global Tourism is not only employs 1 in 11 people, but also promises to lift many developing nations out of poverty. This unit looks at the characteristics of Global Tourism, factors influencing this and the impacts. There is also a focus on one local economic enterprise operating within this sector, that being Lake Crackenback Resort located in the Snowy Mountains of South New South Wales.
